reaching the
stars my way

I wanted to tell kids that there isn't just one way to achieve their dreams, and they could even have their own versions of those dreams through a short 10-page storybook.

About

Dreams could come in many ways and even more so for a child with their limitless imagination. This project, a short storybook, is one where a kid can do anything if they put their mind to it. A reminder to the readers that you might be achieving your dreams but not just in the way you initially imagined it would be.

Planning:  I started by knowing my target audience, deciding on the theme and moral of the story I want to share, then proceeded to gather references for different purposes. Finally, I finalized the art style to draw which was watercolor and the color palette to use.

Story Development: I wrote down the narration, dialogue, and flow of the story then drew the storyboard.

Illustrating:  I started sketching the pages according to my storyboard while making adjustments to it, then proceeded to outline and color it per page.

Layout: After finishing the illustrations on the pages, I did the layout for the dialogues, narrations, arrangement of the pages, and the design for the cover and back design of the book.
